Tips for a Healthy Heart

You hear it all the time, eat better and exercise more often, its good for your heart.  It is true that five servings of fruits and vegetable a day is important for your health.  Eating better begins with cooking fresh foods at home and not indulging in fast foods or going to a restaurant.  Putting off your doctor visits is not a good idea as this is when the beginning of something can be found. 

You already know you should not smoke because it greatly increases your risk for cardiovascular problems. How about the stress in your life? Meditation and exercise can do wonders to remedy that and it will also lowers the bad cholesterol levels. Every time you see your doctor, the first step is always to have your blood pressure taken by the nurse. 

This is common and the best way to catch signs of hypertension.
